Do I need to take a state exam?
No. Florida does not require a state practical exam for facial specialists — the DBPR registers you as a Facial Specialist once you complete an approved 220-hour program, including the required 4-hour HIV/AIDS course.

For RNs ready to move into aesthetics. Clinical foundations of injectables and energy-based devices. In Florida, RNs may inject only under the direct supervision of a physician (LPNs are not eligible).
Advanced medical-aesthetics training for prescribing and supervising providers — injectables, biostimulators, energy devices, and med-spa clinical protocols.
Estheticians cannot inject. Injectable training is for licensed medical professionals within their Florida scope of practice.
