WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS

It’s important to keep up on the latest technique advances and demand shifts in aesthetic treatments. By learning new techniques or refreshing your skills, you’ll be able to offer clients more noticeable results with less recuperation time. One such practice that has been paired with heat and regenerative medicine therapies for longer-lasting results is microneedling. Learn how microneedling training can help you harness all of the benefits that microneedling has to offer clients.

UNDERSTANDING MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling is a process that causes micro-injuries to the skin that activate the skin’s natural healing response, which manufactures new collagen and elastin proteins. The newly generated collagen will provide strength and support, while the elastin allows the skin to stretch and return to its original shape.

This process results in a youthful appearance by improving overall skin texture, enhancing skin tone, and minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks. Microneedling can be done as a stand-alone therapy or combined with other types of treatments for longer-lasting results and less downtime.

AUTOMATED

This type of microneedling targets problem areas effectively using fine needles that puncture the skin at a high rate of speed, but with precision control over wound depth. This type of treatment is effective for:

  • Acne scars
  • Wrinkles
  • Signs of aging
  • Stretch marks
  • Sun damage

Automated microneedling can also improve overall tone and texture by stimulating the production of elastin below the skin’s surface.

Microneedling

RADIO FREQUENCY (RF)

In this process, the automated microneedling process is combined with the heat therapy of RF electromagnetic waves. As the needles puncture the skin, the heat is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin while at the same time creating micro-channels on the surface. This process generates new collagen formation and can heal a treatment area by stimulating natural cell regeneration. It can help with the most problematic areas, such as acne scarring or other skin damage, because of the ability to reach deeper tissues with precision.

PLATELET-RICH PLASMA (PRP)

This form of regenerative medicine uses cells to regenerate damaged tissues. The platelets are extracted from a sample of the client’s blood and reinjected into the area needing treatment. It helps heal the tissue by releasing growth factors that stimulate collagen production. This therapy is used in conjunction with a needle roller or stamping tools to create micro-injuries in the skin that facilitate the absorption of the injected PRP to targeted areas. This type of therapy works best for facial rejuvenation, scar reduction, and hair loss.
