MSI offers a hybrid program for students interested in obtaining a facial specialist certification. A hybrid program for facial specialists combines both online and in-person training to offer a flexible and comprehensive learning experience. This approach is particularly beneficial for students who need to balance their education with other commitments, such as work or family responsibilities.

Curriculum Overview


Students will gain knowledge of skin anatomy and physiology, common skin conditions, and proper sanitation practices. Upon completion, graduates receive a certificate and assistance in preparing for relevant state licensing exams. Additionally, the school offers continuing education courses to help professionals enhance their skills, stay updated on industry practices, and maintain their licenses. Basic Admission Requirements

Individuals seeking admission to the MedSpa Institute must meet the following minimum requirements:


Applicants for the Facial/Skin Care Specialist Program must be at least 16 years old and possess a high school diploma, GED, or college diploma.


The Institute utilizes a blend of traditional instructional methods, including Zoom classroom lectures, hands-on lab and equipment training, and work-based activities to prepare students for successful careers in the field.


Must demonstrate good manual dexterity, including full use of hands and fingers.


Should possess strong communication skills and basic proficiency in English.

Program Overview


The program includes an online option for completing the theory and didactic portions virtually. Students can progress at their own pace, with full-time students expected to finish within six weeks and part-time students within up to ten weeks.

The school operates on a 12-month calendar system with program beginning every two months.


A full-time student course load is 30 hours per week.

Course Scheduling in ongoing, the online portion can be initiated immediately


In-person sessions will take place on the 1st of every month for 3 weeks


Part-time enrollment will enroll into two In person sessions to complete a total of 71 hours of hands on training


Ability to complete online components at the student’s own pace within 90 days  depending on full time or part-time status


In-Person Sessions must be completed in the 3 weeks timeframe alotted for full time and 6 weeks for part time


Fixed dates for hands-on training and clinical practice ensure structured skill development

In-Person Practical Sessions:

Our hybrid Facial Specialist Program includes essential hands-on training to ensure you gain the practical skills needed for a successful career. During these sessions, you will:

  • Practice facial treatments on live models under the guidance of expert instructors.
  • Learn advanced techniques, including chemical peels and microdermabrasion.

We offer a hybrid 220-hour Esthetician Program, which gives you the flexibility to complete the didactic portion (149 hours) online at your own pace—either from home or in our classroom.

The program also includes a 71-hour hands-on training portion where you’ll gain practical skills in facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and more.

  • We offer hands-on in the evenings from 4-9 pm.
  • The cost of the program is $6000.
  • We have financing through Affirm.
  • We also have payment plans with 30% down $1800.

Once you complete the course, you receive a certificate of completion and you will submit it to get your Esthetician license.

Our Locations

Both our Tampa and Miami locations offer a Facial Specialist program designed to equip students with hands-on training and essential theoretical knowledge for careers in the beauty and skincare industry. Our institute provides a single post-secondary occupational education program: Facial/Skin Care Specialist. This program focuses on developing the skills and expertise needed to perform a variety of facial treatments and skincare procedures. Students gain knowledge in skincare analysis, facial massage techniques, facial treatments (including masks and peels), makeup application, and client consultation.
